  • What is the Spinlet Music Service?

    The Spinlet Music Service is the largest Africa-centric streaming and download music service in the world. Music lovers from around the globe are able to access a huge catalogue of diverse music through our website and mobile apps.

  • How do I create an account?

    It's easy! Simply click login/register and follow the prompts, or sign in with your Facebook or other social media account. Once you've created your account, you can use it to login to any of the Spinlet mobile apps and services.

  • What is Single Account?

    A Single Spinlet account is an account across all Spinlet services, which is linked to only one user. "Group and family accounts are not available at this time"

  • What is the difference between Streaming, Downloads and Offline Play?

    Streaming allows you to jump right into the music and start listening. No files are downloaded to your mobile device or computer. However, you must have a good data connection to enjoy uninterrupted listening.

    Downloads allow you to listen without being connected to the Internet. The music files are saved to your device, so you can listen whenever you like. Downloads require that you purchase tracks or albums.

    Offline play allows you to listen to music whenever you like, without purchasing a track or album. You must have an active subscription and your device will need to connect to the Internet from time to time.

  • What subscriptions do you offer?

    Spinlet offers 2 streaming subscription models:

    1. A freemium model (with ads that pop up while streaming); and
    2. A Premium Subscription model with no in-stream ads. For Premium Subscribers, we offer the following plans:

    (a) a 7 day subscription at N350
    (b) a 1 month subscription at N1000

  • How do I discover music on Spinlet?

    Discovering music on Spinlet is pretty easy. Simply start typing into search, and results for your favourite artist, song, album, genre or playlist will be displayed.

    Alternatively, click on the Discovery tab to view Latest Releases, Most Popular, Genre, Discover Me or Featured Music. You can also discover new music by adding friends and looking through public playlists created by them.

  • What bitrates do you supply your music in?

    Spinlet currently supports between 32 kbps and 128 kbps MP3 and AAC files. Our compression algorithms allow us to deliver quality audio over small file footprints. This is especially useful in areas of low internet speeds.

  • What are the best networks to stream your music from?

    Network quality varies from one provider to another. However, we recommend you have at least 1mbps of download speed to enjoy uninterrupted listening.

  • I am an Artist, how do I get my songs on your platform?

  • I am a Label/Publisher, how do I get my Artists on your platform?

    Simply email us colour scans of your company's Certificate of Incorporation or other proof of registration of business, and original forms of identification for all intended artistes and a signed copy of our Label's Digital Rights Agreement or Publisher's Digital Rights Agreement.

  • I am an Artist, how do I make money off spinlet.com?

    Spinlet has the most favourable revenue split of any platform in the region. Our Business Development team would be happy to talk to you about all the avenues for increased revenue generation on our platform. Simply send an email to biz@spinlet.com with your contact details.

  • What is available from the website?

    Currently we offer a wide variety of songs and albums for download.

  • How do I create an account on Spinlet.com?

    Simply click 'login/register' and follow the easy steps for registration or choose to sign in with your Facebook account. Once you've created an account, you can use the same account (Single account) to login to any of the Spinlet mobile apps and services.

  • How long can I listen to a song before I make purchase?

    You can preview a song for 10 seconds before purchasing.

  • Can I share items that I buy on Spinlet.com amongst my devices?

    Yes, you can move the songs you buy from Spinlet.com to your phone and your tablet after you have purchased them. The songs are not DRM protected.

  • What is the difference between DRM protected and non-DRM protected songs?

    DRM protected songs cannot be moved to your memory card or shared with other devices. In this case, you can only play the songs within the Spinlet Application when you sign in. Non-DRM protected songs can easily be shared between devices and stored on your memory card. Non-DRM protected songs are available on spinlet.com and within the Spinlet Apps. When you buy the songs out-right within any Spinlet mobile app, they are not DRM protected.

  • Can I stream music on the download site?

    Not at the moment, however streaming will be available soon. You can stream and browse the different content within the mobile app and download to your computer. Go to m.spinlet.com to download the app.

  • How do I buy songs on Spinlet.com?

    The ability to access songs on Spinlet.com is available to customers worldwide. You can pay with Verve cards, Visa Cards (Debit and Credit) and MasterCard (Debit and Credit). Songs purchased on Spinlet.com are yours to own forever.

  • Refund Policy

    Payments for music tracks and subscriptions are generally non-refundable. However, if as a result of technical failure or software malfunction you are billed incorrectly or are unable to download items paid for, then Spinlet shall in the case of over-billing refund the excess, and in the case of inability to download reauthorise the download.

  • How do I discover new music on Spinlet.com?

    You can discover new music by using the search bar or by going to LIBRARY and using one of the menus we have there; Most Popular, Latest Releases, Genre, Discover Me, or Featured Music. You can also search based on artist names, track and album names. You can also add your friends and then search through their own personal Playlist to discover new contents.

  • Can I send songs I bought from Spinlet.com to my friends?

    We encourage fair payment to artists, and discourage you from sharing songs purchased on Spinlet.com to your friends. Our songs are not DRM protected.

  • Is the download link available forever?

    No, it is important to download the songs in a timely manner as the link expires shortly after being made available to you.

  • What does the Spinlet mobile application allow me to do?

    It allows you to stream, sync and/or download for offline listening or purchase songs.

  • How can I download Spinlet?

    You can download the Spinlet App via spinlet.com/download.

  • How does the Spinlet Mobile app work?

    The Spinlet Mobile App helps you stream, download songs for offline listening, buy and share the music you love from your favorite artists in Africa and the diaspora. It is user friendly and helps you to manage music easily with all your content in one place.

  • What happens to the songs I have synced for offline listening when my subscription expires?

    When your subscription expires, the songs you have synced for offline listening will not be available to be played until you renew your subscription. However, you will have access to the ad-supported free streaming option and all songs you have purchased and downloaded will still be available.

  • How can I get non-DRM protected songs within the Spinlet Application?

    You can purchase then download tracks or a full album. The songs you purchase this way will not be DRM protected. The songs that are DRM protected are those that are downloaded to your device for offline listening via your streaming subscription.

    Offline sync/download is possible when you have an active subscription. Buying songs outright is possible without a subscription—the songs purchased this way are non-DRM protected. Buying songs outright is also possible on Spinlet.com

  • On what devices can I get Spinlet?

    Spinlet is currently available on Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry Legacy OS (5, 6 and 7), Nokia Asha (Java/J2me). We are always expanding the line of devices that Spinlet is available on so check back soon if you do not see your device listed.

  • How to download Spinlet on Android?

    To download Spinlet on your Android phone, you need to have at least Android 2.3. Please go to spinlet.com/download or go to the Google Play Store directly and download Spinlet to your phone.

  • How to download Spinlet on iOS?

    To download Spinlet on your iPhone, you need to have at least iOS 6. Please go to spinlet.com/download or go to the Apple Store directly and download Spinlet to your phone.

  • How to Download Spinlet on BlackBerry Phones?

    Spinlet is compatible with BlackBerry legacy OS—5, 6 and 7. To download the version for the legacy OS, please go to spinlet.com/download or proceed to the BlackBerry World directly from your BlackBerry smartphone.

  • How to Download Spinlet on your Windows Phone?

    Spinlet is compatible with smartphones running on the Windows Phone 7/7.5 and 8 operating systems. To get Spinlet, please go to spinlet.com/download or proceed to the Windows Phone Market Place directly from your Windows phone.

  • How to download Spinlet to your Nokia Asha Touchscreen Phone?

    Spinlet is compatible with Nokia Asha phones (touch screen only) that are based on the Java J2Me and Nokia Asha Operating System. To get Spinlet go to spinlet.com/download or proceed to the Nokia store directly.

  • How can I subscribe to the different plans available?

    You can subscribe to the plan of your choice by downloading the app here, then create an account, and proceed to the account setting and subscription page. You'll be provided with the different plans available. Select the subscription plan of your choice and start listening to music right away.

  • Special Plan for Etisalat Customers

    Etisalat Spinlet Music Plan is for Etisalat customers who wish to take advantage of the free data bundle that is associated with each of the plans available. It is currently available to Nigerian customers.

  • How much does it cost to get the Spinlet App?

    Downloading the Spinlet App is free. You can stream songs for free with ads. You only pay when you subscribe to a plan or when you want to download tracks or albums.

  • Can I use Spinlet on my computer?

    Yes, you can access Spinlet from your computer—laptop and desktop. Just create an account at Spinlet.com and search through our catalog for the albums and tracks of your choice. You can then download to your computer and own the music.

  • What is the difference between the Etisalat Spinlet Music Service and the Spinlet Music Service?

    The Etisalat Spinlet Music Service, available to customers in Nigeria, and provides data bundle along with the subscription. However, you do not get bundled Internet data when you subscribe to the regular Spinlet Music Service. You'll be required to use your mobile Internet data or WiFi connection in this case.

  • My Spinlet App is no longer working?

    Ensure that you have Internet connection on your device. Also try to restart the phone and the Spinlet application. If your app is still not working after doing all these, kindly send a message to support@spinlet.com

  • How can I pay for a subscription on Spinlet mobile applications?

    On Android, Blackberry and Nokia Asha you can pay via VISA, MASTERCARD and VERVE cards. On iOS and Windows phone you can purchase a subscription via in-app payments. Etisalat Nigeria customers can purchase directly using their phone credit.

  • Do I get free data bundle with any of the subscription plans?

    Only those who subscribe to premium service plan via Etisalat Nigeria have some free mobile data to go with each of their plans.

Advertising - Spinlet Ad

  • What are Audio Ads?

    They are audio advertisements that reach our entire free streaming user base and play your audio commercials between songs in the Spinlet App.

  • Why advertise on the Spinlet Music App?

    Your audience is our audience. Everyone - age or gender loves music and we know you know your target audience does too. Unlike radio, Spinlet gives people the freedom and joy to listen to the music they want at any time or place. You get to speak to your target audience while they stream songs from their favorite artists, creating a positive association with your brand so they listen to what you have to say and want to interact with your offerings.

  • Where is my audio advert campaign placed?

    It is run in our Ad-supported Free Music Service. The advertising revenue derived from the free music service is what pays for the fans' ability to listen to music for free legally.

  • Can I run my audio adverts in the Premium Subscription Music Service?

    No, only the Free Music service supports adverts. However, we do offer other advertising opportunities. Reach out to adsales@spinlet.com to find out more.

  • Can I run banner advert campaigns in the Spinlet Music app?

    At this time we are only running audio ads within the Spinlet app.

  • What's the recommended length of the audio advert?

    We support four different audio lengths:
    5 seconds
    10seconds
    15 seconds
    30 seconds
